Utility Assistance Program

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists households with low incomes, particularly those with the lowest incomes that pay a high proportion of household income for home energy, primarily in meeting their immediate home energy needs. Eligible households may receive up to $1,200 per year in a standard LIHEAP benefit. An additional $1,000 crisis benefit if a energy crisis exists.
