More Than a Bed is a not-for-profit organization and relies on volunteers to serve
foster, kinship, and adoptive families. Volunteers help us sort donations,
organize items, and help families find what they need.
In 2023, More Than a Bed served 1,064 Arizona families and 2,977 foster
children. This never would have been possible without our wonderful
volunteers. We need your help to continue this important work!
We welcome individuals and groups of volunteers. Children under 16 must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian. For everyone’s safety, we ask that
volunteers wear closed-toed shoes.
Do you love connecting with people and sharing a great cause? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to represent More Than a Bed at local events and festivals! As part of a small team (2-3 people), you’ll help set up our booth—think carrying and popping up a tent, table, and signage—and then spend the day outdoors spreading the word about our mission, programs, and ways the community can give or receive support.
This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with the public, make a difference, and help families in need—all while enjoying the fresh air and festival vibes. If you’re up for being a friendly face for More Than a Bed, we’d love to have you on board!

Choose where your State tax liability makes the greatest impact. MTaB is a Qualified Foster Care Charitable Organization. Receive a dollar-for-dollar credit up to for couples filing jointly or $618 for individuals for 2025.
